It is easy to reach Pushkar, the venue of the world famous Pushkar Festival which brings tourists around the globe to this small town in the state of Rajasthan. Pushkar is also a pilgrim city for the Hindus who come here for an annual holy dip in the Pushkar Lake. Pushkar is accessible by road, rail and air. Ajmer serves as the base for most of the long-distance journeys to and from Pushkar.
By Air : Pushkar is a small city and it does not have an airport of its own but the nearest airport is in Jaipur. Located 131 km away one can either take a train or a drive till Pushkar.
By Road : A good network of roads ensures that Pushkar is easily reachable by road. There are two major bus stands in Pushkar- the Marwar bus stand and the Ajmer bus stand that see a heavy flow of buses coming and going in form various cities of Rajasthan and India.
By Rail : Ajmer, located at a distance of 11 km away from Pushkar, is the nearest railway station. It has regular train services to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and Ahmedabad.
